Refund Policy

What this covers

Nation’s paid items are digital: a licence to use a feature in your Nation account. They are personal, cannot be transferred and have no cash value. Today the only paid item is the Name Change Pass. If we add others, this page will say how their refunds work.

The Name Change Pass

• Price: US $2.99, paid once. Whop may show the price in your local currency.
• It gives you one change of your login name (the username you sign in with), to use whenever you like. It does not expire.
• Every player also gets one free login-name change every 30 days. When you change your name, the free change is used first, so your pass is only used when no free change is available.
• The pass does not change your display name, and normal name rules still apply: a reserved or taken name is refused.

Refunds for an unused pass

If you have not used your Name Change Pass, you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of buying it. Ask through support (see below). When the refund is made, the unused pass is removed from your account.

A pass you have used

Once a pass has been used to change your login name, the item has been delivered and it is not refundable, except where the law requires a refund (for example, if the item did not work as described). Your name change stays in place.

Refunds, chargebacks and your pass

• If a payment is refunded or disputed (a chargeback) while the pass is still unused, the pass is revoked automatically.
• If a payment is refunded or disputed after the pass was used, the name change is not reversed, but the account is flagged for staff review.
• If a refund is recorded before the pass reaches your account, the pass is not granted.
• Please contact support before filing a chargeback; we can usually sort out a problem faster. Disputes filed to keep an item you have used without paying may be treated as fraud under the Terms of Service.

How to ask for a refund

Open a ticket in the support channel in the Nation Discord (opens in a new tab). Include your Nation display name, the item, the date you paid and the receipt reference from Whop. Never send your card number or password. We reply in the ticket. Approved refunds are paid back through Whop to the original payment method; how long the money takes to arrive depends on your bank or card provider.

Payments through Whop

Payments for Nation are processed by Whop, and Whop’s own terms also apply to your purchase. Modern Grind Technology never receives or stores your card or bank details. See the Privacy Policy for what we do keep about a payment.

Your rights under the law

Nothing in this policy takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live. Where the law gives you a right to a refund that is broader than this policy, the law applies.
